Arcadia National Park, Maine

We hiked, swam and ate lobster. Totally an enjoyable week with glorious weather.
The trails are just great for hiking. This is Cody and Chris and a bird friend on top of Pemetic Mt.
We explored mountain ponds, where it's hard to distinguish sea from earth.

Baby Dove

We have a new addition to our studio family.
Our fire escape doves are the proud parents of this fluffy hours old baby dove. The ivy plant has looked better.

Morning dove at my window

There are a pair of doves we have heard and seen since moving here over a year ago. Last week the female made a nest in my ivy plant. We have seen one egg as the male and female switch roles. I am hoping to shoot the hatch and post that for all.
I know this is not a human by Umans but this is too good, so I had to share.

Bob Marshall Wilderness, Montana

I was away all week in Montana with my good friend, Ulf. We went to go fly-fish, see his son and explore the wilderness of Montana. This is a beautiful area below the Hungry Horse Reservoir. Adam, Ulf's son, lives in the Whitefish area. His sister Sara also came in from San Francisco.  We camped, hiked, fished for cuttys, bulls and graylings, drank, cooked, laughed a lot and had just a glorious time.

Andrew Glover Youth Program

Yesterday I photographed nine teens from the lower east side near the youth center on Ave B.

It was hot on the street but they were cool. I have been working with the Glover organization for many years. I believe that they make a profound difference in the youth of our city.

Moon on a wire

Heading home later than expected I had to stop my bike in the bike lane and grab this image.
Just two days shy of being full. Enjoy the full moon on Saturday the 26th.

Nora Krug creates a masterpiece

Nora painted herself into one of her illustrations.
I call this my "traveler".  Her dream took shape over the
last 2 days and involved a lot of thought and talent.
I so enjoyed the collaboration.

Memorial Day Weekend

What a beautiful weekend. A very peaceful moment in PA, the only sound was of birds and my camera.

Abby & Sarah, sisters

My nieces were in town together for Sarah's graduation from Barnard. Sarah's a dancer and sociology graduate heading to Ecuador for a rain forest tea company. Abby's an oboist entering her junior year in college. Together or separate they are the greatest.

Subway

This is my first iphone EDL (every day life) image. Just couldn't resist the light and shapes.
I had to be fast because the train was coming. Got off this one frame.

"Red Chair"

Just a sampling of students from a good friends graphic art class at the Art Institute of NY.
It was a blast photographing and meeting 17 students in 2 hours. Lots of stories and such passion to create.

Sisters; Charlie and Fiji

Charlie and Fiji are 3 and 5.
They came to the studio after school today, ate some carrots, ran around and had their pictures taken.
Great time had by all!
